Cynthia Myers-Morrison, EdD, holds a doctorate in education and three master’s degrees. Cynthia has 24 years of abstinence from grains and sugars after decades of freedom from alcohol and drugs. Her current certifications focus on food/sugar/grain addictions/brain chemistry, healthy parents before conception, and long-term recovery from addiction. In addition to being a food addiction professional, Myers-Morrison is an author of The Fix for cravings, a genogram practitioner, and an enthusiastic and highly sought-after speaker on her personal experience with her own recovery and educating others on how to overcome the pain of addiction.

Involved in addiction recovery for over 51 years, Cynthia Myers-Morrison shares her wisdom gained from life-long dedication to attaining and maintaining freedom from addictions (alcohol, drugs, nicotine, sex, grains, sugar, codependency, cluttering, and workaholism).

“I recovered after decades of painful indulgence with food and sugar in all ways: overeating, undereating, fasting, purging, denial, avoidance, distraction, and desperation! Fortunately, I finally realized that my inability to control my eating was because of addiction – not because of my lack of discipline, ability, or morality.”

“I discovered a simple solution for healthy eating which changed my relationship with food, with myself, and with each person and thing I value in my life. For over 24 years, I have been able to enjoy every bite I eat of my delicious meals composed of abundant food that is colorful, vibrant, and varied in textures, much better food than I ever ate before. I no longer suffer from depression and excessive anxiety. I no longer carry excessive weight. I no longer feel shame around my eating, and I love the body I see in the mirror.”

“Over the years, I tragically lost too many family members to alcoholism, diabetes, cancer, and other food-related difficulties, and I, too, was headed that way. Because I was fortunate to find a solution, I have devoted my life to helping others stop hurting themselves and end suffering due to addiction to food, sugar, and substances. I wrote the book The Fix for Cravings, deliver the SUGAR® assessment, developed the Genogram Discovery Program, and became a Food Addiction Professional to provide the knowledge, awareness and motivation for people to experience the following results from working with me:
